As a reward for all the hard work the English Club is doing preparing for the English Club`s performance for the cultural festival that we had a pie making contest.
Earlier this month, we split the club into a boys team and a girls team. As a team they researched different types of pies, decided what they wanted to make, and in the days leading up to club they went shopping for the ingredients.
The boys team decided to do a melon custard pie (individual portion size). They made the custard from scratch, baked the pie based, cut the melon, and then put the filling in each individual pie.
The girls team went simple with individual chocolate pies. While they did make a simple pie, the decided to test out different chocolates as the filling.
Both groups did a great job! Both pies were very well made.
